dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the project is to create a power strip that is capable of saving energy by turning off power to outlets connected to devices that are not in use. To do this, an Arduino Yun connects to a web page and sends control signals to turn on and off individual outlets when indicated to do so by a user via the web page. The goal of first semester is to control an electrical outlet with a web application. For second semester, two additional outlets will be connected and the current sensor will be added to the circuit for each outlet so that energy usage can be gathered and sent to the webpage. | en_US |
