Teaching critical thinking is addressed from the perspective of a psychology professor and a librarian. Methods used to improve student understanding of validity and reliability of sources are examined from the perspective of a classroom and online psychology professor. Lecture material, assignments, and discussions of real-world problems are included with a focus on developing critical evaluation skills as well as impressing upon the students the importance of choosing to be responsible consumers of information. Lessons learned while teaching critical thinking as a psychology professor are applied to the teaching of critical thinking as a social sciences liaison.en_US
