dc.description.abstract | The objective of this project was to design a mechanical carrier that attaches to the end of an arrow which was outfitted with a radio frequency transmitter placed inside of a potted housing. Once the arrow was fired, the mechanical carrier delivered the RF transmitter to the target and become detached upon impact. With the transmitter attached to the target, the user could use the RF receiver to follow the beacon and locate the target. Testing was performed to measure the RSSI at any given distance. It was expected that the RSSI would get lower as the transmitter got further away from the receiver. The RSSI was measured at five different distances and decreased with distance, as intended. | en_US |
